Los Altos is small urbanisation located on the Costa Blanca South, 30 minutes from Alicante airport and Corvera airport, and only 10 minutes from the bustling town of Torrevieja.

Golf Courses: Close to Los Altos you can find the Villamartin championship golf course, the frequent venue for the Mediterranean Open as well as the Campoamor golf course, and Las Ramblas.

Beaches : Close to Los Altos there are two sandy beaches in La Zenia, Cala Bosque, and Cala Cerrada as well as the beaches in Torrevieja.

Supermarkets: There are a wealth of Supermarkets in Los Altos, Consum, Mercadona, Lidl, and Al Campo, though if you fancy a more traditional market then one is held on a Saturday morning just behind the La Zenia Boulevard, selling fruit, vegetable clothes, shoes, etc.

Education: The El Limonar International School is also located in Villamartin, which is a school for students between the ages of 3 and 18. The school is based on the British curriculum and follows the National Curriculum for England and Wales. The school has been named as one of the top schools in “The best schools in Spain” as rated by El Mundo.

Climate: The Costa Blanca and Los Altos enjoy a typical Mediterranean climate, with cool sea breezes in summer and protection by surrounding mountains against the cold north winds in winter. The Los Altos area averages nearly 3,000 hours of sunshine each year and the average temperature exceeds 20 degrees.

In 1986 the World Health Organisation recommended the climate of the areas as one of the most equitable in the world, not too hot in the summer, nor cold in the winter. The area boasts an average of 325 days of sunshine each year, making it an all-year-round destination.
