Torrevieja's Blue Flag Beaches: Sun, Sea, and Sustainability in 2025

If you purchase a property in Torrevieja you need to be assured that the local town hall is doing everything in its power to maintain and meet the stringent environmental levels that will ensure for generations to come, this ensures that when you come to sell your property that the local area and environment achieve these strict levels year consistently.
We all generally are aware of the "Blue Flag", but what are the standards set by ADEAC that determine if a beach receives the coveted Blue Flag award.
Water Quality: Beaches must have excellent bathing water quality, regularly monitored to ensure cleanliness and safety, free from industrial or sewage discharges.
Environmental Management: Beaches must be clean, with adequate waste disposal facilities, and comply with environmental regulations to protect local ecosystems.
Safety and Services: Provision of lifeguards, first aid equipment, and safe access points are mandatory to ensure visitor safety
Environmental Education and Information: Beaches must display information about local ecosystems and conduct at least five environmental education activities annually
Accessibility: Beaches should be accessible to all, including facilities for people with disabilities, ensuring inclusive enjoyment for every visitor.
In 2025 the following beaches have been awarded the "Blue Flag" according to the standards set by ADEAC
